The Tioga Times

January 2008

JUST-PAST POTLUCKS
December Potluck was a holiday delight with the Tioga Realtors and the Tioga Social Committee providing ham, turkey and various beverages for all. Guests brought side dishes and desserts and a festive time was enjoyed by everyone. January's dinner was hosted by Rose and Nicole Curcio, and Arlene and Wilmer Nichols. Those attending had a variety of tasty treats to sample.

CHILI COOK OFF CHALLENGE
February Potluck will be scheduled for the second Sunday in February, February 10, to avoid any conflict with Superbowl Sunday. February's dinner will be a chili cook off! So bring your best pot 'o chili and your finest fixins. If you don't specialize in chili cookery, bring a salad, dessert, or some cornbread to share. Competition is expected to be fierce, so practice up and arrive with a blue-ribbon pot of your chili favorite. Rhonda and Scott Belcher and a set of their (as yet to be drafted) friends will be attempting to organize contestants. Questions? Call Scott or Rhonda at 474-6131.

Volunteers are needed to host future potlucks!! Please call Gary or Jan Liljegren at 331-9045, to sign up to host. They need 2 families to host each monthly dinner. This is a great way to meet your neighbors. If you would like to participate, call a neighbor and give Gary or Jan a call.

HOLIDAY DECOR
The clubhouse glistened with lights and sparkling cheer in December thanks to the efforts of BJ and Clark Hodge, Connie Thompson, Jeanette McFadden, Jan Liljegren, Marie Dolan, and Addie and Olivia Reith. And the Christmas Eve lighting of the luminaries by Tiogans added to the holiday glow of the neighborhood. Tioga was a magical place to be home for the holidays.

MONDAY MARKET
Please take the time to support our Tioga Town Center Monday Market. Each Monday from 4 PM to 7 PM, vendors offering fresh fruits and vegetables, arts and crafts, jewelry, and plants may be found conveniently displaying their wares in our Town Center.

WINTER FUN FOR GROWNUPS
